Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Do you ever have days where your skin is just a little too shiny? If you have, then this is the product for you. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is perfect for applying just before you put on your makeup. This product will leave your face shine free and leave it feeling fresh and clean through out the day.

You can even skip putting on your mattifying powder if you have already applied this product. I feel like it keeps my skin moisturized enough, sometimes I even skip the moisturizer on busy days, and just apply the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.

It is a very lightweight and doesn't give you the heavy feel on your face that you get from some face primers. I have been using this primer for years and I love it. I don't think I will ever change primers, because one you have found a good thing why change it?

If you are ready for the perfect facial primer order yours here now.

Review: Sephora Jasmine Body Wash

I just tried this fabulous body wash from Sephora. I was first attracted to this body wash because of the price at only $ 2.oo for a 2.3 ounce bottle of body wash. I just had to try it out. Not to mention all of the free samples you get with your order, and on top of that I entered a code for another free deluxe sample. From now until October 31 if you enter the code JUICEBEAUTY when you check out you will get a free Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel deluxe sample.

After trying this Jasmine Body Wash I was immediately impressed by how soft it made my skin, and how nice and delicate the fragrance was. The body wash has a combination of fragrances including jasmine, coconut, sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and white amber. All of these fragrances combined really give it a nice tropical fragrance.

So if you are looking for a very inexpensive yet luxurious body wash, look no further than the Sephora Jasmine Body Collection.

Review: Softsoap Serum Infused Bodywash

Rating: 8 out of 10

Are you ready for the start of dry weather? I know I am not. My skin has been so dry of late that I was ready to try out a new product. SoftSoap had just the product for my dry skin.

It is the first body wash to ever have softening serum pearls. It also has an amazing array of other skin nurishing products such as Moisture Retaining Omega 3& 6 and Vitamin E.

PROS: This product had a nice pleasant fragrance, not too strong. My skin really did feel better and more moisturized after using it in the shower.

CONS: I really like having a nice lather with my body washes, and I felt like this left me wanting more. I also felt like I had to use alot of the product, compared to some of the other body washes where a little goes a long way.

I would recommend this product if you are look for a cost effective body wash that really does nourish and moisturize your skin, however if you are looking for a product does all of that and has a rich lather I would look elsewhere.

Where can you get this product?

Softsoap Body Nourishing Wash, Nutri Serums with Omega 3 & 6 15 fl oz (443 ml) - drugstore.com $5.49

Review: Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo, Conditioner, and Style Prep

Rating: 9 out of 10

I just recently used one of the freebie deals I had
found on the internet to try out The Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo, Conditioner, and Style Prep Smoother. I love Aveda products and I couldn't wait to try it out.

Pros: This product really made my hair feel softer and I found my hair to be less frizzy. I found the fragrance to be pleasant and smelled slightly citrusy. It made my hair feel clean and smooth, with no build-up.

Cons: My hair is slightly wavy, and this product is suppose to straighten your hair when using it with a hair dryer. I found that this did not work to straighten my hair at all.

I would recommend this product if you want smooth and soft hair, but not if you are looking for a product to help straighten your hair.

Description:

  • Daily cleansing smooths and softens hair up to 60%.
  • Moisturizes and reduces frizz
  • Exclusive plant infusion—a blend derived from organic aloe, maize and guar bean—creates a smooth new surface on hair.
  • Significantly reduces frizz and unwanted wave, helps prevent flyaways
  • Protects against surface damage from heat styling .
  • Babassu-derived cleansing system. softens hair with a luxurious lather.

Key Ingrediants: Organic aloe, maize and guar bean.

The best deals on these products:

Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo 8.5 oz. - FOLICA has it listed for $18.99

Aveda Smooth Infusion Conditioner 6.7 oz. -FOLICA has it listed for $18.99

Book Review: Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses?

RATING: 8 out of 10

Story written by: Rhonda Fischer

Have you ever had trouble getting your kids to try new things? I know I have. My children will do anything to get out of doing somthing they don't like. Well, Rhonda Fischer wrote a story that covers this problem from angle to angle.

In the book Randy Kazandy, Where Are Your Glasses? Randy starts having trouble with his eyesight and has to get glasses. He has trouble accepting the way he looks in the glasses and tries to get rid of them. What he doesn't realize is that his mother has several extra pairs of glasses for backup.

It is so funny to witness the struggle that Randy goes through as he tries to get rid of each pair of glasses and his mother just happily gives him a new pair. When he realizes that his mother is down to her last pair, he is ecstatic and thinks his boughts of glasses wearing are over. That is until the very friendly eye doctor comes with a present for Randy. Do you want to know what it is? I won't spoil it for you. Buy the book and find out for yourself. The story ending is very sweet and has a happily ever after, the kind I like best.

Pros: This children's book has a wonderful storyline and can easily be relatable to any kid who is trying something new that they are not sure about. It is very entertaining and would thoroughly be enjoyed by kids who read it or are read to. The illustrations are very well done and go along smoothly with the story. It is fun to watch the story develop and has a nice cheerful ending.

Cons: I felt that some of this story seemed very unrealistic. Being a book that rhymed throughout, it seemed some of the rhymes were just thrown together. Parts of the story didn't seem to flow well with the rest of the storyline.

All in all this is a great book for young children with an excellent message. I would highly recommend giving this book a try.

Available in stores nationwide and online.

Randy Kazandy Where Are Your Glasses?
Written by Rhonda Fischer
Illustrated by Kim Sponaugle
$19.95 Hardcover
ISBN 978-0-9820163-0-5
Published by Whim Publishing

About the author: Rhonda Fischer lives in Santa Margarita, CA. She is a writer, musician, and educator. She wrote this book based on a real life experience. Her brother-in-law having been born cross-eyed had to wear corrective lenses at the age of 17 months. He tried to get out of wearing his glasses and had hard time accepting them. It took Rhonda 12 years to write this book and get it published.

Some of the excellent praise for this book:

Brilliantly Randy Kazandy conquers the fears and inhibitions that wearing glasses might create for a child. The book ends triumphantly with the raising of the child’s self esteem as he is able to see a whole new world through his wonderful new glasses!

Beverly Spencer, MS, Southern California College of Optometry, Director of External Clinical Relations

It is so refreshing to have Randy Kazandy, a character with flaws and doubts kids can relate to. With colorful graphics and musically metered prose, Randy captures the reader with an uplifting message of overcoming obstacles. Way to go Randy!

Bob Estrin, Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University. Founder/Composer, Living Piano.

A delightful, compelling story! Its moral makes parenting and childhood a little easier especially involving those with obstacles, whether big or small. Looking for hidden glasses throughout the book is a delight for kids.

Dr Douglas Mazzuca E DO, Mazzuca Eye & Laser Centers

In rhythmic, rhyming verse, Rhonda Fischer tells the story of Randy Kazandy, a boy who needs glasses but sure doesn't want them! Children will delight in the amusing antics of Randy as he tries to get rid of his glasses in the most peculiar ways until he finally finds the very best place for them. A great read for students with--and without--glasses.

Mary Wegher - Master of Library Science, Gillette, WY

For many children, getting the news that “you need glasses” can be traumatizing. But adorable Randy Kazandy reminds kids (and parents) that putting on your first pair of specs is not only an adventure; it opens up a whole new world. Beautifully illustrated and wonderfully told, this book is a must-read for any child—bespectacled or not.

Surveys that Pay or Award Prizes

There are many survey sites out there that will pay you for your opinion. I have just started taking several surveys from many different survey sites. Some of these surveys are actually fun to take, and some of them may even lead to an invitation to a focus group or to try out a new product for them.

I am very excited for the possibilities of these survey sites and what they have to offer. Many will reward you with cash and many will reward you with gift cards or prizes that you can redeem. How great is it to get paid to give your opinion! Here are a few of the great survey sites out there:

  • You Gov Polling Point - give your political opinion. Sign up and automatically be give 1,000 points. This is a PRIZE only survey site. Prizes start at 17,500 and up.

  • Global Test Market- surveys are mostly about movies, restaurants, automobile, consumer products, current events, many other topics. You receive money for every survey that you take even if you don't qualify. You can CASH out once you receive 1,000 points for $50 dollars.

  • Opinion Outpost- different types of surveys are available. You can either use your points to redeem a Gift Card or CASH it out for a check. 10 pts. are equal to $1.00. You can cash out or redeem a gift card once you have 50 pts. which is $50.00.
