Lazypatch: The Downunder Answer to the Snuggie

Looking for an easy, cute way to save on heating bills and reduce your carbon footprint?  Try a Lazypatch Duvet Suit or Deluxe Down Suit, Australia’s answer to last year’s U.S. hit, The Snugli.  Lazypatch looks like a suit made out of a comforter, with a separate bottom and top (which makes for easy bathroom breaks) and removable hood.  It’s perfect for “chillin’” in front of the TV or sleeping in an under heated space.  (Winter camping will never be the same!)  They are made with a soft cotton cover, and have plenty of great features like pockets (for remotes, TV guides, cell phones, etc.) and extra long length sleeves and pant legs (easily rolled up or down for warmth and mobility).  Lazypatches arrive in their own drawstring bag, which can be used for storage or even as an extra pillow when warmth is not required.  The Duvet Suit is filled with 100% polyester filling; the Deluxe has 20% grey duck down and 80% duck feathers. 

Lazypatches come in a variety of colors and patterns:  white, black, purple, navy blue, red, chocolate, powder blue, powder pink, grey, camo, cow and (my personal favorite) leopard.  You can also buy Lazypatch boots, which can be used indoors or outdoors.   

We received a pretty powder blue Lazypatch to review.  Lizzie put it on right away and felt a little silly (it does make one look a little like the Michelin Man!), but soon she snuggled up on the couch and fell fast asleep, in a toasty-warm nap.  When she finally woke up, she said it was so cozy, but it didn’t make her overheated and uncomfortable.  Our Lazypatch has been a hot (excuse the pun!) commodity on these f-f-freezing days we’re been having lately, and I’m sure it will be getting lots of use as the winter wears on.  I’m especially looking forward to snuggling up in it this Spring, outside by the fire pit.
