And if you are a Bank of America (BOA) customer and using some of these tools, you know exactly what I mean. For those of you who are not, perhaps it is time to switch banks or if you are a customer of BOA, explore these great tools to get your house in order.
Here are just some of the many tools and services offered by BOA that has helped me:
Bank on the Go
Online banking is a must these days! I seriously would not know what I would do without it. There are so many great features:
- Pay Bills: No more going to the post office. No more licking stamps and no more late payment fees because my check got lost in the mail. I can now pay bills online with a few clicks and I am done! For those recurring bills like my cable TV or telephone services, I just setup an automated payment and I don’t even have to lift a finger. It’s great!
- Transfer Funds: Remember when you had to go to an ATM or teller or call the bank and answer one hundred security questions just to transfer funds between your bank accounts. Now, it is a simple click here and a click there and you are done transferring. By the way, you can also transfer money almost anywhere quickly and easily for a U.S. domestic account, an international account, or an account other than your own. This is what I call convenience!
- Get Reminders: If you are like me, you may have some bills like your credit card bill that you absolutely don’t want to miss the due date as the late fees are ridiculous. Don’t worry, with BOA reminders, you can setup reminders to be sent to you so that you don’t ever have to pay a late fee because you missed a due date.
- Get Alerts: With BOA’s great security features if there are activities on your account like if a payment was made online using your debit card or if suspicious payments are being made, you get automated alerts on your email or telephone. Now, you can quickly verify these activities before it completely depletes your account and checks start bouncing and it is total chaos. You know what I am talking about! You can also setup alerts for account balances, posted checks, online bill payments made, and much more. Again, a great feature.
- Find “lost” Transactions: Ever wondered if you made a payment or whom you made a payment to? Now, you can easily find transactions based on criteria such as date ranges, dollar amounts, transaction type, and so on. The best part is that once you easily find the transaction, you can view the actual image of the check to see who, when and what amount it was made out too. Thank you BOA for providing this feature!
- Great Mobile Apps: If you have a smart phone, chances are you will be able to use the mobile apps from BOA to take care of most of your banking needs discussed above on the GO!
Save time with Quick Deposits
Do you still make your deposits at the teller? Don’t! You can easily deposit cash or checks at ATMs. Here are some highlights:
- And unlike before, it is super easy!
- You don’t need an envelope or deposit slip.
- BOA ATMs have an easy to use interface that allows you to easily deposit as many checks and cash as you need and you get a detail receipt.
- Oh.. you can even get images of the checks you are depositing as proof!
- Deposit anytime after banking hours and you no longer have to wait in those long teller lines!
The bottom line is that banking today should not take up your entire day – well it should not even take an hour! With Bank of America and all the convenient tools they provide, I get to do all my banking in minutes. So, I save money, reduce my banking stress, spend more time with my family and feel super accomplished! Don’t take my word for it, check out Bank of America’s cool features and bank with ease!

Here are a few more time saving tips for the holidays:
- Start early when buying presents for Christmas. Sometimes the best sales start in early November. When you start early you will have more time to find the best deals.
- Shopping online will take the headache out of standing in lines, finding a parking space, and dealing with the crazy traffic. Many online retailers offer free shipping during the holidays and some will even gift wrap your purchases for you.
- Baking and Candy Making can become less of a chore and save you time if you swap handmade goods with a friend. If you and a friend make 3 different items and then swap half of yours for half of hers. You will have saved time by now having six items to give for gifts while only making 3.
