Review: Wuggle Pets

It is so much more fun to play with a stuffed animal when you have made it yourself. Wuggle Pets made the task of making a stuffed animal fun, simple, and tremendously easy. My 3 year old had seen the informercial for Wuggle Pets and was definite fan even before she had tried making one or playing with one.

We received 2 Wuggle Pets to review. One adorable blue puppy, and a cute unicorn. Each Kit came with a cute unfilled wuggle pet, white cotton stuffing,”magical” stars, and stuffer machine. My daughter already thought the unfilled animals were adorable and wanted to start playing with them as is. Once she saw that we could make them cute and fluffy, she couldn’t wait to help me fill the stuffing machine with the white cotton and magical stars.

The blue puppy became her favorite stuffed animal, she wanted to take it everywhere with her, to the store, to school and everywhere that she visited. I love it because it is small and not bulky and easy to carry around.

Wuggle Pets Starter Pack which includes the blue puppy and unicorn is available for $19.99 plus s&h.

Llee's Touch Giveaway

Loralee Hanson of Llee's Touch definitely has an edge over typical Brick and Mortar stores that carry the ever so popular beanies that everyone wants these days. I have to say that I have never seen anyone's work more talented and detailed than Loralee's. She truly is inspired and always expanding her designs. She has created everything from Pac-Man and Monsters to Dinosaurs and everything in-between. I had her make me up a few designs and I was left wanting more. You will not be left disappointed. Her workmanship is detailed and these make the greatest and one of a kind gifts. You dream it and she can custom create it. Or you can order one of her already created designs (my favorite is the 3-eyed monster beanie) They beanies come in different sizes and are really affordable. I would love to get a family picture with matching beanies on everyone's heads or my hubby as the Pac-Man and the kids and I as the ghosts!

When asked why she likes to create and make unique gifts, she answers, " knowing I made something that someone will appreciate for time to come, makes it all worth it".

Exclusively for Mint Green with Envy readers- from Now until February 10th, Llee's Touch will throw in a free gift with every purchased beanie. All you need to do is place an order through the above links and let her know that you heard about her through Mint Green with Envy.

She is also doing a giveaway: One free Custom Beanie (you must reside in the U.S to participate)

Product Review: Caribou Coffee

 Review Written by: Patience Poast-Armienta

Who doesn’t love the smell of Coffee in the morning? I honestly don’t know a single person who doesn’t. So, when I was handed this sample of Caribou Coffee’s Reindeer Blend to test, I could not wait to try it! I am notorious for inviting the other School-Moms over to my house for a cup of coffee. So, I did.

First I will tell you that the Christmas theme went over well with my guests … Caribou (aka: Reindeer) … catchy! Especially since my house was still decorated for the holidays. Then a friend joked, “Doesn’t Caribou poop look like coffee beans?” We all got a good laugh over the thought of drinking poop-coffee. But don’t worry, it tastes nothing like I imagine poop would. LOL! The 16-ounce package is adorable with the nostalgic sweater pattern printed on it. So very festive.

Then opening … ahhhh, there is that smell!!! Yumm! Time to dig out the coffee grinder, give it a few twirls, and scoop it into the coffee maker. Presto! The tantalizing smell is now dancing in the air, finding my nose. If I could float on a smell, I would have been. Once the brew was ready, it was time to pour. There is not much nicer to a housewife than visiting with friends and sipping a nice cup of coffee. And that is just what this was, the perfect coffee for sitting and chatting with friends. It was not too bold, and certainly not weak. And was able to satisfy all of us women and our differing palettes. Some took cream, milk or sugar, and it was all around appreciated.

Now, just so you know, I am NOT a fan of the overpriced and over-caffinated brands out there. I do not frequent the coffeehouse chains. I LOVE to nestle at home with a good cup or two while relaxing with my favorite books. So, for that, this is a perfect choice. I have enjoyed this blend several times since sharing it with my friends. And I will revisit it again and again. I have even taken it to the classrooms with me on my volunteer days, adorable 20-ounce (matching) travel cup w/knitted sleeve and all. And I am happy to say, that it did not upset my tummy like some coffee’s can. I will definitely keep this in my cupboard for future tastings. And would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, smooth cup of Java.

My only note on the negative (if you want to call it that) is that this did require the use of a coffee grinder. And these days, they are getting harder to find and quite messy to keep. Given how today’s coffee drinkers are into instant gratification, an instant-crystals, “tea-bag”, or individual servings option might be a great avenue to investigate. I would hate to think the marketing be limited to the few that like the old-school technology of a coffee-grinder.
